Type 1 diabetes is a lifelong autoimmune condition causing the destruction of the cells in the pancreas that make insulin. This means the body can’t control blood sugar (glucose) on its own. Without management of high blood glucose levels, over time it can lead to serious and life-threatening health complications. Gray Gators Thanksgiving Food Drive has begun!
We will be collecting can goods and non-perishable foods for the next 2 weeks. We will be donating the collected goods to local food banks supporting our community.
As an incentive, the class that brings in the most goods on a per student basis will win a pizza party. Goods will be collected by your Monday Thrive class. So let the game- collection begin!
Let’s show our Gator spirit and support our community.

Did you know that Ms. Sanservino's class has invited staff to be guest readers into her classroom? This is contributing to their learning environment and engaging the students. Thank you to Ms. Rios, Mr. Alvarado, Ms. Alexis with one of her students, Ms. Sorrells, Mr. Stuart, and Coach U. More readers will continue to visit and read with the class. Thank you for providing this experience, Ms. Sanservino!
